24-Year-Old Man Found Dead in Northwest Charlotte; Homicide Investigation Underway

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Authorities are investigating a homicide after a man was found dead Tuesday morning in northwest Charlotte.
Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded around 10:15 a.m. to the 700 block of Belmeade Drive, near Mount Holly Road, to assist Medic on a call. Upon arrival, they located an individual who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police identified the victim as 24-year-old Julian Spencer of Rock Hill, South Carolina. He was discovered in a utility right-of-way, an open area beneath power lines.
Investigators have not released details about any suspects. The case remains ongoing as detectives continue working to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
